A seminar with the theme "China's Judicial Application of International Treaties: Theory and Practice" was held online on Jan 20. It was sponsored by the Beijing Fourth Intermediate People's Court, the Institute of International Law of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the China University of Political Science and Law.
The seminar is a key research and discussion activity of the Supreme People's Court's 2021 judicial research project on international treaty application under the background of rule of law for domestic and foreign-related cases. It was undertaken by the Beijing No 4 Intermediate People's Court.
More than 20 experts and scholars from the Supreme People's Court and universities participated in the seminar, which consisted of keynote reports, expert discussions, and the conclusion.
Judge Mei Yu of the Beijing International Commercial Court made a keynote speech on the judicial practice of the court applying international treaties.
