Ma Jun, judge of the Beijing International Commercial Court, delivered a keynote speech and answered questions at a summit themed on New Mechanisms for Mutual Recognition and Enforcement of Civil Judgments in Matrimonial and Family Cases by the Courts of the Mainland and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, on Feb 15. The forum was co-organized by the Supreme People's Court of the People's Republic of China and the Department of Justice of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government.

Focused on issues related to review, preservation and enforcement in the judicial practice of marriage and family cases, Ma introduced the trial mechanism of civil and commercial cases involving foreign countries, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan in Beijing's courts, the establishment, jurisdiction and functions of the Beijing International Commercial Court, the examination distinctions and procedures of personal property and other property, property preservation and compulsory measures, and the procedures for the recognition and enforcement of Hong Kong-related cases.
