Mei Yu, judge of the Beijing International Commercial Court, attended a lecture held by the People's Court Judicial Reform Research Base (China University of Political Science and Law), on Aug 31, and put forward suggestions during the discussion.

Wang Shumei, a member of the Adjudication Committee and chief judge of the Fourth Civil Division of the Supreme People's Court of the People's Republic of China, gave the lecture on the theme of "The Role of the People's Courts' Foreign-related Civil and Commercial Trial Work in Coordinating and Promoting the Domestic Rule of Law and Foreign-related Rule of Law and Judicial Practice". Wang explained the important role of foreign-related commercial trials, trial practice and the improvement of China’s international commercial dispute resolution mechanism.
Mei introduced the BICC’s practice and experience in the foreign-related rule of law and put forward suggestions on the creation and jurisdiction of China's international commercial courts.
