Dispute between Israeli Hartech Technologies and Beijing Magicode Science & Technology over sales contract

Abstract of judgment:

According to a sole agency agreement between Israeli Hartech Technologies and Beijing Magicode Science & Technology, the two sides agreed in a sole agency agreement to submit an application to the Singapore International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission for the settlement of any dispute in accordance with arbitration rules. The parties subsequently inked two supplementary treaties on the purchase of source codes, which were supplemental to the sole agency agreement and made clear their obligation to render any disputes to the arbitration institution. Evidence in the hearing showed that Hartech Technologies was required to seek resolution from the arbitration institution in line with the sole agency agreement rather than lodging a case at court.
