A delegation of 12 judges and judicial officials from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan recently visited the Beijing Fourth Intermediate People's Court (BFIPC) for a study tour and exchange. They were accompanied by Li Yingxin, vice-president of the BFIPC, who joined the visit and participated in discussions.
The delegation toured various facilities, including the case filing and litigation service hall, specialized tribunals, and a thematic exhibition. During the visit, the court highlighted its distinctive initiatives such as online litigation services, the one-stop diversified resolution mechanism for international commercial disputes, and the bilingual court hearing platform.
They also had a hands-on experience with Chinese-English bilingual website reading device and the bilingual court hearing system, gaining a direct understanding of how intelligent technologies are applied in judicial practice. Participants spoke highly of the court's innovative integration of litigation services with smart technologies.
Following the visit, the two sides held a symposium at the judges' study center. Li, on behalf of the BFIPC, extended a warm welcome to the delegation. She introduced the court's organizational structure, its adjudicatory responsibilities and the innovative achievements it has made in recent years in international commercial trials.
She emphasized that Central Asian countries are important partners for China, and that the BFIPC highly values exchanges and collaboration with the judicial communities of these nations. She expressed hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to further enhance mutual learning and sharing of experiences, expand and deepen cooperation, so as to jointly improve the judicial safeguards for regional development and international commercial exchanges and contribute to the promotion of the rule of law as well as economic and trade cooperation in the region.
During the exchange session, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on judicial practices. The symposium not only deepened mutual understanding of work in related fields but also fully demonstrated a shared willingness to deepen judicial cooperation and jointly promote the development of the rule of law.
Representatives of the delegation acknowledged the court's initiatives and effectiveness in innovating international commercial adjudication, advancing the development of smart courts and optimizing judicial services for public convenience.
This visit effectively enhanced mutual understanding and trust between the BFIPC and the judicial communities of Central Asian countries, solidified the foundation for cooperation and contributed legal wisdom and strength to high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and the building of a closer China-Central Asia community with a shared future.
