The launch ceremony for the Singapore International Arbitration Center (SIAC) Beijing Representative Office was held in Beijing on May 25.
The event brought together officials from Singapore's Ministry of Law, China's Ministry of Justice, the SIAC and relevant Beijing municipal authorities, as well as representatives from the domestic and international legal and arbitration communities. Gong Haoming, president of the Beijing Fourth Intermediate People's Court (BFIPC), attended the event and delivered a keynote speech.
In his speech titled "Improving and Innovating the Judicial Review Mechanisms for Foreign-Related Arbitration to Support High-Quality Development of International Arbitration", Gong systematically introduced the BFIPC's recent initiatives in strengthening arbitration mechanisms, aligning with international rules and fostering an arbitration-friendly environment, while highlighting the proactive role of the judiciary in supporting the growth of the arbitration sector and safeguarding high-level opening-up.
During the event, Gong also engaged in in-depth discussions with participants on topics such as global trends in international arbitration and cooperation in cross-border dispute resolution.

Moving forward, the BFIPC will continue to support the development of the Beijing International Demonstration Zone for Integrated Legal and Commercial Services and the International Commercial Arbitration Center.
It will establish regular and institutionalized exchanges with overseas arbitration institutions to deepen pragmatic cooperation in areas such as judicial review of arbitration, the coordination of preservation measures and enforcement, information sharing and professional training.
These efforts are designed to enhance the effective connection between arbitration and judicial proceedings, enhance the credibility and international competitiveness of arbitration institutions in Beijing and provide fairer, more efficient and professional international commercial dispute resolution services to parties from China and abroad.
